Dental implants are an excellent long-term option for people who have had teeth extracted, or they are missing teeth for some other reason. Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Implants are made of two main parts: the titanium post that takes the place of the root, and the tooth colored crown that is placed on top of the implant. This gives people who are missing teeth the ability to eat virtually anything and smile with confidence, knowing the teeth look natural.
Dr. Trent and his staff completed their dental implant training at Midwest Implant Institute (MII) in Columbus, Ohio. This institute was founded in 1980, making it the first American dental implant institute. Since then, they have remained on the frontline of technology, instruction, techniques, and clinical applications regarding implant dentistry. At MII, the training is extensive. Each dentist and their staff must assist with at least seven implants and place a minimum of seven implants before finishing their externship. This ensures the doctor and his staff have the knowledge and skill to place implants in their own practice, which allows you to have confidence that you are receiving the best possible care.
Dr. Trent graduated from Midwest Implant Institute in 2005 and has been successfully placing implants for more than ten years. Dr. Trent attends continuing education courses each year to further his knowledge of dental implants and to keep up with the latest developments in the field of implant dentistry.
